The Piquant Placement Programme is open to full time students. Through the Piquant Work Placement Programme, you will get the chance to learn from experts in your field of interest, get involved in projects that make a difference, and be fully immersed in a full service agency environment.
There will also be opportunities for learning and mentorship from expert members of the team from your area of interest, and the chance to work closely with highly experienced professionals
The Piquant Work Placement Programme is an unpaid role that operates within specific time periods. Read on for full details.
Digital Marketing (January 2023)
This position is ideal for anyone with a genuine passion for social media, and a keen interest in culture and communications. The successful student will be a creative, innovative thinker who loves coming up with engaging content ideas. You are versatile and eager to learn, and comfortable multi-tasking and writing.
Placement Period
The Digital Marketing position runs for a minimum of 3 months from January to March 2023, with the option of an extension to the period or adjustment per your course requirements

Role Requirements
- Current full-time student of relevant marketing or communications third-level course
- Keen attention to detail and exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interest in social and digital media
- Interest in influencer marketing
Role Responsibilities
- Assisting with campaign ideation and development
- Contributing to social media content schedules and content creation
- General content review, proofreading and writing tasks
- Research tasks for campaign and communications projects
Mentorship & Learning
During your placement, you will work closely with Lyndsey Hall, Head of Digital Strategy and Communications. Students on the Digital Marketing placement will have the opportunity to sit in on strategy development and client presentations, attend client training sessions, assist in the activation of live campaigns, and receive 1:1 mentorship sessions with your designated mentor.
Graphic Design (March 2023)
Immerse yourself in a team of designers from a range of disciplines with our Graphic Design placement programme. This opportunity is open to talented design students, with a passion for motion design, animation, illustration or branding. The successful student will have the opportunity to work with our experienced design and production team in the areas of ideation, collaboration, presentation and execution of design, across branding, motion, digital, print, and web projects. Talented and innovative, you have a passion for creating ambitious design projects and have exceptional attention to detail.
Placement Period
The Graphic Design placement position runs for a minimum of 3 months from March to May 2023, with the option of an extension to the period or adjustment per your course requirements.

- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
- Strong interest in typography and design
Role Responsibilities
- Assisting with ideation and concept development
- Working with brand development team
- Sitting in on client presentations and training
Mentorship & Learning
Graphic design placements will have the opportunity to learn from a team of talented and experienced designers, working closely with the Head of Brand & Strategy, Hugh Heffernan. This will include attending brainstorming sessions for client projects, sitting in on training sessions, and completing a live in-studio project, and 1:1 mentorship sessions with your designated mentor.
Media Production (January and September 2023)
The Media Production placement is perfect for anyone passionate about lens based media and structuring narratives, capturing the moments that others don’t always see, you finding the beauty in the mundane. The successful student will have a keen understanding of social and digital media platforms and enjoy experimenting with content creation that captures the attention and imagination of audiences. This placement suits students who are motivated to find, craft and share stories, who love to meet new people, and have a curious open mind.
Placement Period
The Media Production placement position runs for a minimum of 3 months on two occasions in 2023. There is a placement beginning in January 2023 and a placement available beginning in September 2023.

- Assisting on photography and videography shoots
- Research tasks for video and photography projects
- Informing strategy for creating ‘social first’ content
- Contributing to content production brainstorms and ideation
- Assisting with scripting and scheduling
Mentorship & Learning
Students on the Media Production work placement programme will get the opportunity to work within a team of experts in editing, video, photography, and production coordination. This will include the chance to attend brainstorming sessions for client projects, and attend live shoots, and 1:1 mentorship sessions with your designated mentor.
